Willow Run Connemaras is proud to be home to one of Ireland's
greatest natural treasures, the Connemara Pony. Renowned for its
kind and gentle temperment, natural jumping ability and hardiness, we
are honored to have these magical creatures share our lives.
With over 35 acres of rolling hills, rocky outcroppings
and pasture, our Farm emulates as closely as possible, the environment
which bore the Connemara Pony:
the western lands of Connemara, Ireland. Our Ponies live outside
24/7 and are free to run, jump, play and evolve to suit their
environment while maintaining the "native" aspects of their inner beings.
This "natural" conditioning as well as Daily Handling by children as
well as Adults will help them throughout their lives to excel in a variety
of challenging Sport Disciplines as well as be able to live in and thrive
in a variety of situations and Family Settings.
We have selected simply the Best breeding stock available of both
imported Irish, English and American bloodlines to produce
successful athletes and, more importantly, friends that will last a
lifetime.
Connemara Ponies are special animals. We take their care and
upbringing very seriously. Each and every animal on our Farm is
handled daily and foals are imprinted at birth. For Willow Run,
breeding is a calling and we have dedicated our lives to the protection
and preservation of these splendid Equine. We strive to produce
ponies with their natural talents in tact.
Connemara Ponies at Willow Run will demonstrate the naturally kind
and willing temperment, hardiness, strong limbs and athleticism, breed
"type" and correct conformation of our herd sire:
